CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A New Jersey man was arrested after impersonating a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent and scamming a victim out of over $50,000 worth of money and goods, according to New York State Police. The resident, from Clifton Park, said they were contacted by someone who identified themself as a United States DEA Agent.According to state police, the scammer told the victim they had a warrant for their arrest, which they could avoid for $3,000. Richard Clark says he became unhoused after an injury prevented him from working. For the past year, a purple shed in North Hollywood’s Chandler Blvd. Tiny Home Village has been his temporary home.At just 64 square feet with two beds, it isn’t much. Two Simi Valley residents are dead after what the Riverside County Sheriff's Department described as a murder-suicide in Rancho Mirage Sunday afternoon.In a news release, deputies identified Carl Ashcroft, 61, as the shooter and Kathryn Ashcroft, 55, as the victim.
