PUEBLO, Colo. (KDVR) -- Both directions of Interstate 25 near Pueblo were reopened on Thursday afternoon after a train derailment shut down a stretch of the highway for days. The southbound lanes of I-25 affected by the Sunday deadly train derailment north of Pueblo reopened Wednesday afternoon, hours after Gov. Jared Polis visited the site.The northbound lanes were expected to reopen Thursday afternoon, according to Polis. The area was being repaved in advance of reopening. According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, there may be a need to reopen only one lane northbound prior to reopening the whole roadway. Massport issued an apology Thursday after a disabled elderly veteran said he and his wife were kicked off a shuttle bus to Logan Airport. Vietnam Veteran Ken Twombly and his wife had been on their way back to North Carolina Tuesday after traveling to Massachusetts for Twombly’s sister’s memorial service. When they boarded the Logan Express bus in Braintree shortly after 12 p.m. though, the couple said their driver didn’t check their tickets until they had traveled about one mile. When the driver did check tickets, the couple had technical issues accessing their pre-paid tickets on their phone and offered to pay for the $9 tickets again. Instead, they were kicked off the bus and stranded on the side of the road with their four bags.“He’s yelling at us as if we were criminals,” Twombly said. “‘You didn’t pay for your ticket. SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. (WHDH) – Emergency crews recently responded in Southborough after a vehicle drove into a trash pit at the town’s department of public works facility. Southborough police shared photos on Thursday showing the car stuck in the pit. The driver was not hurt, according to police, and a towing company was ultimately called in to help remove the vehicle. WASHINGTON (AP) — As the Israel-Hamas war intensifies, the United States Thursday launched a visa waiver program allowing Israelis wishing to visit the United States for 90 days or less to come without applying for a visa.The U.S. announced Sept. 27 that it was admitting Israel into the visa waiver program, adding the country to a select group of 40 mostly European and Asian countries whose citizens can travel to the U.S. for three months without visas.At the time, the U.S. said Israelis could start traveling to America without visas as of November 30. A very brave police dog, who rushed into action to save his handler at the cost of his own life, will have a second life in bronze outside the Braintree Police Department.The monument was unveiled Thursday during a ceremony in which the department also rededicated its Officers Memorial.“I think that we need to thank all the police officers that serve every day, day in, day out, when people are home in their beds. They serve all night long.
